Mexico Premium Meats
BEEF....from burger to steaks, snack sticks to roasts.
Meet the Bastian women behind Mexico Premium Meats – Brittany, Kailey and Melinda.
Melinda grew up on a small family farm in Callaway County and moved to Audrain County when she and Mike married in 1990. Cattle has been a constant in their lives since the beginning. They raised their sons, Chris and Jesse, on the family cattle ranch just northeast of Mexico.
The herd of cows grew and evolved over the course of their 4-H and FFA show careers to become a highly productive herd today. Jesse and Brittany met on a mission trip to a Native American reservation in North Dakota. Married in 2016, their family includes hardworking meat market helpers, Avery, Wyatt and Reagan. Chris and Kailey met at Genesis Church in a Bible study. Married in 2018, their family includes market day enthusiasts Casey and Ty.
Who are we?
We are a family run small business. We’re farmers and ranchers. We’re moms and dads. We’re co-workers and friends. We’re your neighbors and classmates. We’re really not any different than you. We want the best and most nutritious meat on our plates. We are the wives & mothers of ranchers right here in mid-Missouri.
We believe in the quality of the cattle that our families are raising so much that we are processing our beef at White Barn Processing (a MO Dept of Ag inspected processor) and are a meat market licensed by the state to sell directly to you from the farm. We raise mostly Simmental X Angus cattle and have built the herd over the course of 4 generations now. Beef cattle are what we know. Our cattle are grass fed and grain finished. The meat we offer you comes from the livestock we raise. We don’t buy extras to fill in the need, so we know what you can expect from our products. We allow our meat to age at the processor, which leads to a more tender and flavorful piece of meat.
We know buying beef from your local rancher is different than buying from your typical grocer. We would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
