Meet Sonny & Mary Orth of S & M Produce. Sonny and Mary married in 1972 and had 5 children together. Their family has grown leaps and bounds with 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
They’ve been raising produce and a part of Mexico Farmer’s Market since 2010. Pictured above is their granddaughter Whitney helping at the market on Saturday. Their oldest daughter Michelle Parrott and her husband Dewayne have been helping, and helped them to expand by selling produce at the Fulton Farmer’s Market.
Every so often the entire family comes out and enjoys a farm work day together. They raise a large variety of produce using organic practices with tomatoes being their specialty. They are always planning (hoping) to have tomatoes by the first of June.
Mary is also a baker, baking a number of different items and always experimenting with new recipes. Her family and friends have been enjoying the results.
